What better way to train than to race? Below are some local duathlons, triathlon, adventure races and other multisport events some members of the team have taken part in this year.

Birds Hill Duathlon #4 - May 27, 2008 // 2nd place finish
Cat places 1st in the very windy short distance duathlon (2km run, 13km bike, 2km run) with a time of:

Bur Oak Mountain Bike Race #2 - May 7, 2008 // 1st place finish
What a fun and quick course. Lovely tight single track with some rooty sections, climbs and lots of turns. Cat places 1st in the Women's Expert Category completing 3 loops of the Bur Oak trail in 1:07:31.

 

Birds Hill Duathlon #1 - May 6, 2008 // 2nd place finish
Cat places 2nd in the short distance duathlon (2km run, 13km bike, 2km run) with a time of:

Fort Whyte Eco Challenge - April 20, 2008 // 5th place finish
A 42 km race through the City of Winnipeg, starting and finishing at FortWhyte, including canoeing (conditions permitting), running, rollerblading, cycling, and finally climbing. Cat fills in last minute with for Elliot Johnson of the Super Friends racing team comprised Sarah Johnson, "Corrado Magichands" and Craig Stephen. What a blast! The team takes a 5 place finish out of 37 teams with a total time of 2:32:22.
